Almost there

Hello,

This weekend I finished two more kairai. I must admit it is unusual for me to finish so many models in such a short time.
I didn't have the time to post pictures about them until today though.
Not that I have much choice when it comes to painting, if I want to do my first starterbox game this Friday I really need to paint a little faster.
Since WH40K I refuse to play with unpainted miniatures or proxies, only fully painted miniatures on the gaming table!
Luckily I have only Kato to go, as I already laid the final hand on the marionette which was a pretty simple and easy job.

The armoured kairai was painted like a ashigaru from the prefecture with dark blue clothes and black armour.

Hope you like them.
Thank you for reading!

  1. Nice work, the banner bearer looks great!

  2. Very interesting sculpts. I imagine the polearm guy may be annoying to store/play with due to his weapon over hanging the base so much (off balance? Too large for normal foam cut outs).

    1. I forgot to say I totally dig the straw hat. The painting made it turn out just right.

    2. Thank you!
The Naginata worries me indeed a bit when it comes to transportation, the shaft is rather thin and I'm afraid it may snap of. The blade isn't heavy enough to put the model of balance though. Right now they are in my display case, but sooner or later the problem of transportation will come up though.

  3. These look so cool! I'm going to have to look into the system after the challenge is over and I can get more figures.

    1. I was clever enough to get most of the faction before the challenge starts ;-).
The game is well worth it, refreshing mechanics and beautiful miniatures. The only issue I had was with some bad mould lines, but this seems to be solved as my newer mini's don't have that problem anymore.

I hope to keep my buying habit down after the challenge though ;-). Otherwise it would all have been for naught :-).
